Please continue to pray for Alicia who was involved in the very serious car accident on her way home from the SMU on Friday. The following is an update on her progress and other injuries: She has already been is surgery to have a rod placed in her leg. The trachea and feeding tube have been taken out. She's having surgery on her jaw today. She's had some plastic surgery done already. Her spleen was removed and she has had 11 pints of blood. There are injuries to her kidneys and other internal organs. The kidney is bruised and there are lacerations on the internal organs. Her arm was cut to the bone and her pelvis is also fractured. As you can see, she will have a long recovery but the wonderful part is that she survived. This young woman has a solid foundation in our Lord and a beautiful spirit that flows right through her out to each one she touches. Her actions speak of her belief in Christ. Pray for calmness for her and her family...a peace that only the Lord can provide and for smooth healing...no complications. Lift up the doctors and nurses in whose care she has been placed.
Gina Nairn would like prayers for her Dad, Jerry Dugan, who is being taken off of chemo due to complications related to inoperable intestinal obstruction. Essentially the doctor believes that he will be here to see her son born, but right now the prognosis is not much longer -- about two months. She needs your prayers for two things: (1) that she can deal with her emotional rollercoaster in a healthy way, without negative impact to her baby, and (2) general prayers for her mom, her dad and her family. Also pray that if there is still a treatment they haven't uncovered, that they will find it. On the bright side, her Dad is doing pretty well and is being very strong, and he's getting around pretty well at this point. Gina does not believe that people have expiration dates, and intends to make the most of whatever time God has left for her Dad.
