Please pray for a teacher who is feeling totally overwhelmed with the demands of the job as well as from family and the Christmas season.  Pray that God would send the help this person needs to get over this feeling of being overwhelmed.

Maricar Sharper's father's funeral arrangements are as follows:
Viewing - Thursday, December 6th @ Kalas Funeral Home in Oxon Hill, Maryland from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral - Friday, December 7th @ 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Piscataway Road
Please pray for Maricar's mom is really having a difficult time with her husband's death.  Pray for God's comfort for her and for the rest of the family as well.

Betty Joffe requests prayers for a close family friend Mark Hart who has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer.  Pray first for his salvation and then for comfort for Mark's family - that they would all know to trust and rely on God for all of their needs today and for the days to come.

Prayers are requested for the family of 56 year old Tom DeRieux.  Tom died suddenly last Thursday from a heart attack.  Pray for his three children as they mourn the loss of their father.  Tom's visitation will take place on Thursday, December 6th at Grace Brethren Church in Waldorf and the funeral will take place on Friday, December 7th at Grace Brethren Church.

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
Christmas Eve Service - New Life Church will hold one Christmas Eve Service at 7:00 p.m. at North Point High School in Waldorf.  Make plans now to attend what promises to be a very special service on Christmas Eve.  This would be a great time to invite family and friends and we guarantee that there will plenty of seating for everyone who attends!!  For this service, we will not be offering nursery or any of our other normal children's programs but rather would like to encourage families to plan to sit together and enjoy this special service as a family!!

Ladies Christmas Tea - Saturday, December 8th from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. at New Life Church.   If you haven't already, please RSVP to womensministry@newlifelaplata.org.  Be sure to include the number of people in your group, if you would like to bring a food item and if you need childcare.
