Prayers are requested for Cheryl Hatch's father, Colin Orpin, who is having major surgery tomorrow, Friday, December 7th at Inova Hospital in Fairfax.  He will be undergoing procedures involving heart bypass, carotid arteries and a pacemaker.  Pray for the success of the surgery tomorrow and also pray for the family during this difficult time.

Fred and Cindy Ferrer request prayers for their friends Kara and Frank.  Kara was admitted to the hospital this past Tuesday evening to have her baby.   The labor went smoothly and Kara gave birth to a baby daughter at 4:22 p.m. on Wednesday.  The baby weighed 2 lbs. 2 ozs and was 11 1/2 inches long.  She was with her mom and dad for about ten minutes - long enough for them to hold her and say goodbye before she passed away on to her Heavenly home.  The baby's name was Faith Elizabeth.  Mom and dad chose the name Faith not because they thought their faith would prevent this day from every coming or keeping it from hurting anymore than it does but because through their faith, they were given strength and encouragement and comfort in knowing that if Faith left them, they would have the assurance of knowing that she would be in Heaven.  Kara was discharged from the hospital after two days and is now back home resting.  Please pray for this family over the next few days especially as they prepare for Faith's funeral service.

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
Christmas Eve Service - New Life Church will hold one Christmas Eve Service at 7:00 p.m. at North Point High School in Waldorf.  Make plans now to attend what promises to be a very special service on Christmas Eve.  This would be a great time to invite family and friends and we guarantee that there will plenty of seating for everyone who attends!!  For this service, we will not be offering nursery or any of our other normal children's programs but rather would like to encourage families to plan to sit together and enjoy this special service as a family!!
