Prayers are requested by Sarah Poythress for Kelly Campbell who is doing well after having her thyroid removed last week.  The results did show cancer was present.  Kelly will be undergoing a phase of radioactive iodine therapy treatment.  Doctors are optimistic given that thyroid cancer has one of the highest cure rates.

Prayers are requested for Pat Holman and her husband, Pete.  Pat has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and the prognosis is not good.  Please keep them lifted in prayer.

Prayers are requested for Don Busch who had kidney cancer a year or so ago and now it has been discovered in his other kidney.  Please keep Don and his family in your prayers.

Prayers are requested for the family of 18 year old Rachel Johnson.  Rachel died in a single car accident this past Sunday on route 488.   As you can imagine, this family is devastated especially since this is the second child who has died in this family.  Ten years ago, the Johnson's had a ten year old son to die from cancer.  Please pray for God's comfort and strength for this family during this very difficult time.

Prayers are requested for four year old Landon Morrill who went for a check up yesterday and it was discovered that his hemoglobin is falling again.  He has been admitted to the hospital to receive blood transfusions through the night last night.  The doctors are not sure why this is happening.  They will be running tests over the next couple of days.  While he is in the hospital it is possible that he may have the G-tube put back in.  This is a tube that will go in his stomach, so that his medicine can be administered.  Please continue to pray for Landon and for the doctors - that they would have the knowledge and ability to heal Landon.

Prayers are requested for Nancy Allen's son (Layne) who is having major heart surgery tomorrow at Washington Hospital Center.  Pray for the surgeons and medical staff that will be operating on Layne and pray for the success of this surgery as well as for Layne's successful recovery after the surgery.

Prayers are requested by Sherry Raleigh for her seven year old son Cooper who will be having surgery this Thursday, April 10th @ 8:30 a.m.  Cooper has had five past brain surgeries (the first as a baby) all related to a brain tumor.  The surgery this week should help to pinpoint what areas of the brain are causing him to have seizure activity and will be followed up by further surgery around April 18th to remove if possible a portion of the brain that is causing the seizure activity.  Currently, Cooper suffers from multiple seizures on a daily basis.  Some of the seizure activity is controlled by medication but not able to be totally eliminated.  Cooper will most likely be in the hospital for about 2 1/2 weeks.  Pray for the success of both surgeries and pray also for the family during this difficult time.

Pam Roberts did have surgery today to have a portion of her colon removed.  Pam did make it through the surgery fine.  Please pray for a good recuperation now from this surgery.  Pray also for favorable results from biopsies that are being done from the surgery.
