Please be in prayer for Betty & Lee Joffe's daughter-in-law and son who are at this time at the hospital getting ready to have their first baby which they know is going to be a girl!  Betty just called to report that it has become necessary for her daughter-in-law to have a c-section and that it will be sometime this evening.  Pray that everything goes well with the surgery, for a safe delivery and for a healthy baby "girl".

Vivian and Craig Waters request prayers for their grandson (Brendan) who cut his hand yesterday and possibly nicked a tendon.  Please pray that this is not a serious injury and for wisdom for the doctors who will treat him.

Vivian and Craig also request prayers for Craig's sister (Debbie) and niece (Carissa).  Debbie's husband, Robert, died suddenly Sunday night.  Pray for comfort for Debbie and Carissa as they deal with the sudden death of their husband and father.

Sherry Raleigh called today to give an update on her son Cooper who as you will recall had surgery close to three weeks ago to have a grid placed in his brain so that the doctors could more accurately track seizure activity.  This surgery was then to be followed up by a second surgery to remove possible scar tissues or if possible other areas of the brain that are causing the multiple seizures he has had on a daily basis.  Cooper is still hospitalized today and has had no seizure activity for two weeks and five days.  This also includes the last two weeks of no seizure activity while off of all seizure medication for the last two weeks.  As odd as this sounds, they are really wanting him to have seizures so that they can accurately track where the seizures are coming from.  On a positive note, without being on seizure meds and without having seizures, Cooper has been very alert and really able to function much better.  However, he is not able to really have any kind of physical movement while hooked up to so many monitors.  The really good news is that he is not leaking any spinal fluid which means that they most likely can leave the grids in his brain for a longer period of time and without worry of any kind of infection.  They doctors are planning to have a consultation with each other and the parents so that they can determine now what is the best plan for further treatment.  Pray for God's special guidance for the doctors and Cooper's parents as they make decisions related to his medical condition.
