Please pray for Anita's friend's 19 year old daughter (Rachel). THe doctors have found a mass on one of Rachel's ovaries and they think that she may have ovarian cancer. They will find out the results from testing on Tuesday.
Prayers are requested for Rita who had one of her kidneys removed and the doctors are trying to save the remaining kidney. She is scheduled for further surgery next month. Pray for Rita's healing and for God's guidance for the doctors who are treating her.
Please pray that God would reveal to Ida His will and direction for her as it relates to her teaching.
Pray for the company that will be attending a conference this week. Pray for the success of the conference and that much will be gained through this conference.
Denise Cox would like us to pray for her friend's cousin (Cindy) who we prayed for last year. As you will recall Cindy had major surgery last October and had her stomach removed as well as part of her liver. Cindy was in the area last week for a check-up from the past surgery and to just enjoy friends in the area. She ended up not feeling well and was taken to the emergency room where she up being admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital's ICU due to a liver infection and bleeding. She is doing much better now and feels very fortunate to have already been in the area and not back home where the care she would have received would have been so much less and with doctors who are not as familiar with her medical situation. Please pray for Cindy's continued return to good health and also thank God for his perfect timing and for her being in this area where her medical needs were best taken care of.
We have received word from the youth mission team that is now in Guatemala for the week. They all arrived in Guatemala City safely on Saturday and on Sunday afternoon traveled from Guatemala City to the Lake area and will be there in the Lake through the end of this week. They will be doing some building and also some mini VBS and "Happy Feet" while there this week. The team will then return to Maryland on Saturday. Pray for the safety of the team and pray also for those they will be ministering to throughout this week.
Update on Pastor Aaron's dad - This past Saturday night was rough for Pastor Aaron's dad as his heart rate was elevated. They were able to get the heart rate under control and he was better Sunday during the day. The doctors feel that the pneumonia was as a result of a blood clot from his leg that went up into his lungs. The lungs are noticeable clearer now. He is still in ICU but is in stable condition. If he continues to improve, by tomorrow he should be moved to a room on a floor and then after three days moved back to the rehab facility. Pray for God's will to be done in this situation and also pray for the family during this time.
