Please pray for Ronald Fink of Lancaster, PA who was just diagnosed with cancer. Please pray for his family as they learn more about his condition and pray for the doctors who will decide the best course of action for treating him.
Chris Forshey has a friend who was in a motorcycle accident. He was initially taken to the hospital where he was treated for a broken leg and released home the next day. However, later that day he experienced shortness of breath and was rushed back to the hospital -- he had two blood clots in his lungs and was (thankfully) transferred to Walter Reed. Upon arrival to Walter Reed it was also discovered that he had broken all his ribs, had a displaced sternum and a unstable neck injury. He was placed in ICU. Unfortunately, he is not progressing well. He is now on a ventilator. His kidneys and liver are failing so they have started dialysis. Last night, friends went to visit and they were asked to leave because his heart "was in distress". His name is Jerry. His wife just passed away 2 years ago and he has one daughter and an infant granddaughter. They are retired military and family support is not local. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for the doctors in dealing with the complex multi-organ failure. Please pray that Jerry will have complete recovery. Please pray for strength and peace for his daughter and that people will surround her with the love and support that she needs right now. We are not sure of their relationship with Christ...please pray that they will have tangible reminders daily of Christ's love for them - that will either draw them into a relationship or will strengthen the relationship they may already have.
Nora Gioia would like to thank all that prayed for her father-in-law Louis Gioia, who passed away last Friday, August 8th, two days after accepting the Lord! It's not the end for him, it's just the beginning of his new life for ever and ever!! Nora has peace in her heart, he is not suffering, and she knows that she will see him again in Heaven!! Please continue to pray for the family that doesn’t know the Lord yet! Nora really saw God's Grace in all of this, he is so good!
Danette Jones requests prayers for one of her dearest friends and her family as they struggle with the loss of a father/husband. Please especially keep Danette's dear, dear friend Melissa in your prayers as she is struggling with faith in and of itself in her daily life.
Danette also requests prayers for the nephew, Sean Allan Runyon, of another dear friend who was born prematurely two days ago, not due until October 8, and whose new young life is on the line as he tries to combat some immediate health concerns and is struggling for his place in this world. Yesterday, he developed a tear in his lung that caused the lung to collapse. The doctors and nurses say they've seen this before and seem to feel it is something Sean can overcome. Please lift him up in prayer for God to help the doctors to know how to help to keep him in this life, if that is His will, or to not let him suffer and to take Sean home, while giving the young parents the strength to understand the immediate need for maintaining their faith, regardless of God's decision.
DeAnna Treadway shares a praise report for Erica who was being tested for possible cervical cancer. She received news that everything is fine - no cancer and she will simply need to follow up again in six months with testing. Erica did just learn that her step-dad (Jimmy) is being tested for possibly lymphoma and it is not looking real good for him now.
