Diane Dixon's sister, Susan Knight remains in the ICU in Moses H Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. For the last 13 days, with the exception of five hours, she has been under sedation and on the respirator. Her GI bleeding is now under control and she has returned to tube feedings. Tomorrow at 11:30 they plan to do a tracheostomy. Lupus has now become a key player in her recovery. Hope in a Greater power is what has held the husband, son, daughter-in-law, two grandsons, Susan and Diane's Mother, and her siblings strong through the last two weeks. Diane and her family request your continued prayers for Susan, all of her family, her doctors, and nurses.
Anna Thompson reports today that her brother's (Thomas Proctor) surgery to remove a tumor in his abdomen went very well today which is a huge praise report as the doctors had not given him much hope for even surviving the surgery. The surgeons found two more smaller tumors and all three were removed successfully. He only had to have 1/3 of his intestine removed rather than the greater amount that was originally thought would need to be removed. He remains in ICU at Georgetown University Hospital and is expected to be there for several days as he recovers. Prayers of praise are requested to our Lord for the success of this surgery and then for continued prayers for a successful recovery from this serious surgery.
Please continue to pray for the mission team from New Life Church that is in Africa. Their plane had a delayed departure from this area and ended up leaving on Monday morning at 11:00 rather than at 5:00 on Sunday as was originally scheduled. We did hear from the team and they did arrive safely at their destination earlier today. Again, please pray for their continued safety and for their work that they will be doing this week and for those who they will be ministering to.
