INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
CHRISTMAS IN APRIL - Come join New Life Church this Saturday, April 25th beginning at 7:30 a.m. as we do some home repairs for a citizen in need in our community.  Plan to meet at 7:30 a.m. at the home we will be working on this Saturday at 112 Scroggins Street, La Plata, MD 20646.  For further information, contact Gloria Lakner at (240) 273-8900.

SPECIAL REQUEST - Shelly Hill's cousins Stan and Brenda Thomas who lost their 11 year old son to brain cancer 3 years ago volunteer at St. Judes and do clowning, activities, bring gifts, etc.  for the kids and families there going through treatment and even death.  They are incredible witnesses to GOD's pure love.  They recently took great care of a friend of someone while she spent several months in the hospital in New Orleans right up until her death so that she would not die alone.  They made certain she did not die alone...and that she knew JESUS and where her eternal home would be.  Shelly is forwarding their message below.  If you have a Bible study group or Sunday School group or any other kind of group that would like to do something to help children at St. Judes in Louisiana, please take your donations and ship them to the address below (Stan and Brenda Thomas) so they can continue the good work they do and bring small gifts of joy and comfort for those in need.  Thanks as always for your constant support, prayers, and love to the many causes and needs that touch hearts!
This is his email:
"just got back from St Judes with sweet pea and the girls. we have about ran out of stuffed animals. in fact we are running low on most items. Stanford Baptist Church gave us a big load of blankets. the LSU blankets went first of course.  It always amazes me how early in life Louisiana kids become LSU fans.  So if any of you all have Sunday school classes or your church or you just want to send something  to the St Jude kids, feel free to mail it to 31575 Pete Bankston Rd., Holden LA. 70744.  We will make sure they get it."
