Please pray for a teen girl who is severely depressed and currently in the hospital. Please also pray that the family will continue to have the strength to support their daughter and sister at such a difficult time.
Please pray for Linda Hirshman's cousin Janie, who had surgery today on her head. She has been battling cancer for some time now, and the doctors have found a lesion on the left side of her head near her neck with smaller lesions throughout. They are inserting a “reservoir” on the top of her head for chemo drugs. She has already had a mastectomy and cancer on her back, it seems to be spreading. Please pray that the surgery is successful and that the Lord will bring comfort to Janie and her family.
Please pray for Craig Waters. He has to go to Washington Hospital Center this Wednesday due to a blockage in an artery. Please pray for wisdom for the doctor as he decides what should be done to clear the artery.
Debra Jones would like us to please pray for her husband Steve's upcoming back surgery for a herniated disk. Definite surgery date has not yet been scheduled but could be sometime between October 14th to October 23rd. The doctors are hoping to use a minimally invasive procedure which would mean in/out surgery and return home the same day. However, due to the length of time he has had this problem in his back and associated swelling - that there may be some scar tissue that would make standard surgery necessary. Pray that God would guide the doctors as they perform this procedure and that once they start that they will clearly know which is the best way to proceed so that Steve can return to doing the things he enjoys doing and also to his work which is physically demanding.
Update on Caje Stroman - Huge praise report that Caje came home today from the hospital. He was fever free since last night and had begun to eat more. Please continue to pray for his return to normal health after this serious illness. Thank you for all of your prayers for Caje and his family!
