HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
The New Life Church Network which includes New Life Church, The Garage Church, The Vine Church and Real Life Church is responding to the devastation in Haiti!
To start, this weekend at all of the services in the New Life Church network, there will be a special offering taken up for the Haiti Relief efforts.   Our suggestion for giving is to World Hope International, the primary partner in ministries of compassion for The Wesleyan Church.
There are a few different ways you can give to World Hope:

1. Make a check payable to "New LIfe Church" and note "Haiti/Earthquake" in the memo area.  You can either bring your check this weekend and it will be collected during the services or you can mail your check here to New Life Church at 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata, MD  20646.  New Life Church will see to it that all funds collected are sent directly to World Hope International.
2. Go directly on-line to World Hope International's website to make a donation www.worldhope.org  
3. Donations can also be directly sent to:  World Hope International, P.O. Box 96338, Wash., D.C.  20090-6338.

Please also join in continuing to pray for those affected by the earthquake.  Some specific prayer requests received from World Hope are as follows:

• Pray for coordination and efficiency in the immediate recovery efforts.  The first 72 hours following the earthquake are critical in searching for those who may be trapped in rubble, treating the injured, and preventing further loss of life.
• Pray that damage to the airport in Port-au-Prince would be miraculously limited, enabling aid agencies to rush necessary emergency aid to the country.
• Pray for the safety of people now living on the streets.
• Pray for hope.  A sense of despair can lead to rioting, looting, and further destruction.
• Pray that those affected would work together and be filled with supernatural patience and compassion.
• Pray for justice and equity in the distribution of relief.  Pray that God would touch and soften the hearts ot those who might seek to benefit from this crisis by hoarding necessary food and supplies.
• Pray that communication will be restored so that Haitians may speak with relatives and friends in the Port-au-Prince area.
• Pray for Wesleyan missionaries and church leaders in Haiti.
• Pray for the families of World Hope staff and clients who may live in the Port-au-Prince area.
• Pray for the family of HOPE Haiti intern Obed Daphnis who were in Port-au-Prince at the time of the earthquake.
• Pray for HOPE Haiti director David St. Hilaire as he attempts to travel throughout the devastation.  Pray for safety in travel and for wisdom.
• Pray for the CEO of World Hope Intl Dr. Karl Eastlack and for the COO of World Hope Intl David Erickson who will be traveling to Haiti this Sunday to meet with their national team to assess the current situation and to stategize the next steps.  Pray for their safety and success for the journey.
• Pray that God would be revealing Himself to the people of Haiti even in the midst of tragedy.
