Please be in prayer for Carole and Mike Russell as they mourn the loss of Mike's dad ("Pop") this morning.

Haitian officials are warning that a heavy rains could trigger floods and landslides in the quake-addled country. Disaster prevention officials issued an "orange" alert for Friday and five following days based on a weather system now forming near Cuba.  The alert is their second-highest warning. At-risk areas include Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Leogane and others ravaged by the Jan. 12 earthquake that displaced an estimated 1.5 million people.  No evacuation plans exist for the hundreds of thousands still living in makeshift camps prone to floods, torrents of mud and potential spread of disease.  Authorities say residents should avoid flooded rivers and be prepared to move if necessary.  Please pray that all those in the area of the heavy rains are kept safe.  New Life Church had a mission team to just return from Haiti on Friday and has a dental mission team leaving this Monday for a week.  Chris Wagnon is currently there in Haiti now.  Pray for the safety of all and most specifically for those from our church who are/will be there.

Megan DeGruy requests prayers for the young person awaiting a liver transplant.  Pray that as he waits that related complications are kept at a minimum.
