Dannette Jones requests continued prayers for Thomas Chen, her co-worker’s son, who was hit by a train on July 1st.  His overall recovery has been nothing short of miraculous; however, with the most serious, major, long-term injury to his leg, he has had numerous uphill battles – skin grafts, various surgeries and then more skin grafts and more surgeries.  The most recent surgery last week was to remove the bar implanted, along with a bone that had grown in a direction precluding his knee from bending.  This surgery was very tricky as they were not certain whether the bone could be successfully removed and whether the skin graft had taken well enough for bending and then a myriad of other concerns.  The surgery seemed to have gone well – the bone was removed, the bar was removed, and the doctors were able to attain an 85% bend in his knee.  He was sent home with a device programmed for periodic bending for rehabilitation, as the pain has been such that he is not able to move it on his own.  All seemed to have been going well, and then this weekend, he had a turn – a high fever and inflammation and swelling at the incision site.  After returning to the hospital, he was diagnosed with MRSA.  Please pray for the continued healing for Thomas and for the infection to be effectively killed through the IV antibiotic treatment.  Especially please pray for Thomas’ entire family during this Holiday season, especially with the added worry of the infection reaching his lungs, bloodstream or urinary tract.  Thomas was previously playing with the band at the Southern Christian Academy – he is a true Christian.  His illness has caused setbacks for him throughout his young adulthood, but he continues to recognize that illness and prays for his recovery every day.

Julie McGrath would like to request prayers for the family of Erin Payne Mattingly who recently passed away from ALS.  She was a devoted mother of three young children and a great friend to many!

Kim Busch requests prayers for Nicole, a young mother, who is in Washington Hospital Center and has just been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure

Please be in prayer for Lee Joffee who was hospitalized yesterday after having difficulty breathing which is related to his COPD.  He has received several breathing treatments and appears to be doing much better.  He will be kept overnight for one more night and then hopefully released tomorrow.  Pray for his overall health and that he would feel better soon.

Prayers are requested by Karen Fenner for her husband's elderly mom who has been very ill and is expected to pass away at anytime.  Pray for Tom and family during this difficult time and while they spend the last few hours/days with their mom.

Randy and Marlene Barnett request prayers for several members of their family - a father, son, mom and brother.
