Update on Gordon Selkirk - Today Gordon was more restless and agitated.  The surgeon who performed surgery last Friday came in to speak with Denise today.   They are planning to leave the drain tube for another five days.  They will then remove the tube which is also being used to measure pressure and will also tell if the fluid is being absorbed or not.  If it is not, they will need to put a shunt in and run it down to his stomach.  It is expected that Gordon will remain in the hospital for about two weeks.  In a week or so, they will move Gordon to a regular unit and will begin to work with him to see how he does with walking and getting around.  If he can do this o.k. then he may be released to go home in a couple of weeks.  If he isn't able to get around, then they may need to transfer him to a rehab facility.  What remains of the large mass and the smaller mass that they could not remove will be treated with chemo or radiation at a later time.  The doctors say Gordon is doing remarkably well considering the size of the mass and where both are located.  They are all just amazed at his progress to date - isn't our God great!!   Please continue to pray for Gordon's improvement and for all of his future treatments, pray for knowledge for the doctors so that they will really know how to best treat Gordon.  Pray for strength and comfort for Denise and the rest of the family in the days to follow.  Pray that God would continue to use this situation to minister to others along the way!
