Prayers are requested for Tim and Debbi Monn and family as they mourn the loss of Tim's 92 year old dad (James Edward Monn) just yesterday. Pray for God's comfort for this family.
Sonia Morales requests prayers for a young man that he may be freed from prison in Iran. This young man was arrested in October 2009 after he protested a government policy that required school children, including his two sons, to study the Quran. Originally charged for protesting, this young man found himself on death row for apostasy. Authorities at Lakan prison, where he is imprisoned, have used various methods, including medication and threats, to convince him to convert back to Islam. He continues to refuse these efforts. He now waits in prison as his case is re-examined. The local court in Gilan has referred this case to the Supreme Leader of Iran, and they wait for his legal opinion before issuing a verdict.
Prayers are requested by Sarah Poythress for her family. Sarah's cousin passed away this past summer of a heart attack at the age of only 58. After his death, his son got mixed up with drugs. Last night in their home church parking lot, his fiance' broke off their engagement and when she got out of the car, he shot himself in the head. He was flown to a shock trauma center but died about six hours later. Pray for his mom and sisters as this is the second of two very sudden deaths in the family. Pray also for Sarah as she is in Guatemala and far from her family and is saddened by this recent news.
Prayers are requested by a daughter for her mom who was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
