Prayer Requests - Wednesday, January 11th

Requesting prayers for Debra Jones' Dad (Bernie Waclawski), who is having trouble swallowing pills and is undergoing diagnostic tests on Thursday. It may be benign, but he smoked a pipe for several years, so there is an underlying concern for a cancer, given that this problem started only recently.
Jan DeGruy requests prayers for a young woman, Laura Slyman, who the DeGruy's met at Ronald McDonald house in NY, as she has the same neuro condition as the DeGruy's daughter. Laura has had several spine surgeries, this last one just in Sept 2011, lasting over 16 hours. She has been in and out of the hospital ever since fighting infection and not healing. Last week she was diagnosed with MRSA at the base of the spine, which has now infected all of the hardware. Laura lives in the Seattle area but now has to be flown urgently back to New York to have ALL of the hardware removed, spinal area washed and medicated, closed up and then have hardware replaced in a few months. In the meantime they want her to stay in New York to keep an eye on things. This is one of parents' worst fears after a surgery like this. Please pray for this family and this sweet young woman.
